What this covers
Roasted is an app for logging, rating and sharing coffee. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and how you can delete it.
Information you give us
Account: your email address and password (the password is handled by our sign-in provider and is never visible to us), your username and name, and, if you add them, a profile photo, bio and city.
Your coffee preferences: your experience level, preferred brewing methods and how far you are willing to travel for coffee.
Your posts: reviews with ratings, drink and brewing details, tasting notes, flavor tags, prices, photos, the shop or place you tagged, comments, likes, and who you follow or block.
Reports: if you report something, we keep the report and the reason you gave.
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your device location while you are using it to find coffee shops near you. Your coordinates are sent to our server only to run that search. We do not store your location history, and we do not attach your precise location to your profile.
You can turn location off at any time in your device settings. You can still add a place by typing its name.
Who can see your information
Your username, profile photo, bio and public posts are visible to other people using Roasted. Posts you mark "Friends only" are visible to people who follow you, and posts marked "Private" are visible only to you.
Your email address is never shown to other users.
Services we use
We use Supabase to host the app's database, sign-in and photo storage. We use Google Places to look up coffee shops; our server sends the search area to Google for that purpose.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Our website
If you fill in a form on our website, such as joining the beta or asking for support, we collect the name, email address and message you enter so we can reply to you. We keep these messages only as long as we need them to help you and to run the beta, and we do not use them for advertising.
Deleting your information
In Settings you can choose "Delete my data" to remove everything you have created while keeping your account, or "Delete account" to remove your account and all of its data. Deletion removes your posts, comments, likes, follows, blocks, photos and profile details. Copies in routine backups are overwritten on our normal backup schedule.
Children
Roasted is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
